Best Loser’s Gift A gift is bought and wrapped. The package is given to the best loser of the week who is instructed to take it home, add another wrapping and bring it back the following week, If that member fails to bring it back with them or to lose weight, they forfeit the gift and it is given to another person. Members must keep the package and add a wrapping for 4 consecutive weeks. If on the 5th week they have a loss – they get to keep the package! It’s fun to see how many layers of wrapping there are!
Calendar Incentive & Contest/Fundraiser Take an old calendar. Squares are sold for $. 25. TOPS are able to buy one square for each ¼ pound loss. i.e. 1 pound loss equals 4 squares ($1.00). KOPS are able to buy one square for each ¼ pound loss below goal from the last weigh-in. If they are over goal but in leeway they may purchase one square. A member can write his/her name in any date square of the entire calendar (one name per date square). When the entire calendar is filled with names, two drawings are held: one drawing to determine the month, and one drawing to determine the day. The winner is the member whose name appears on that date. At the end of the contest there should be $91.50 (if you use a leap year calendar) in the pot. The winner receives ½ the money ($45.75). The chapter receives the other ½ of the money for either the general fund or SRD ($45.75).
Grocery Week The last week of every month, hold a “Grocery Week” Members bring in a low fat/low calorie grocery item and place it in the grocery bag. The best loser of the week wins the groceries. If too many items, can be split with top 2 losers of the day, etc.
Little Changes "Little changes" that we make add up to good weight losses. We don't have to make a major change all at once, just make little changes on a consistent basis. Contest moderator tells each person to select 2 "little changes" they would make in this month. Make the changes specific. (So don't just say, "I'll try to drink more water", instead say "I'll drink 4 glasses of water every day") She hands out blank calendars. Each person writes his/her OWN 2 things at the top of the calendar. Each day that one thing gets done counts as 1 point. Each day that two things get done counts as 3 points. At the end of the month the people with the most point will get a prize. If you do this contest for consecutive months, if for example, a person's "little change" this month is to drink 4 glasses of water a day, then next month maybe her "little change" will be to drink 5 glasses of water a day.

Loser Lotto Create a game sheet with 44 squares, you can make the game sheet "fun to look at" by decorating it with stickers if you wish. Create a second page for sign up. Each member puts in $1.00. Every time a TOPS loses, he/she can put his/her name in a numbered square. A KOPS at or below goal earns a square. When all the squares are filled, make numbered squares of paper (with the numbers that are on the sheet), put them in a can. The person who's number is drawn wins 1/2 the money that has been collected - The other 1/2 can go into your general fund, your SRD fund or your ARD fund. This is a fun way for members AND the chapter to get a little extra cash!!
